Great Missenden Baptist Church is a Charitable Incorporated Organisation (CIO), Charity number 1176012. We are a small and growing church in the centre of the village of Great Missenden. We strive to provide ministry which helps every person to grow in their relationship with God, wherever we have come from and whatever our experiences have been. Our emphasis is equally on mission as we serve our local community as well as supporting groups nationally and internationally.
We welcome people of all ages and backgrounds, recognising that we are all different and yet equally valuable to one another and to God.
Our worship style is a mixture of some traditional hymns and more contemporary worship and we are really pleased to have developed a small worship group which enhances our ability to worship God together.
We have a large and flexible building which is well used by many groups in the area. It is our desire to be a hub of the community, giving use of the building to as many people and groups as possible. Please email or call us for details of our halls and rooms.
Our members live in Great Missenden, and also in several of the surrounding villages and hamlets.
We are a member of the Baptist Union of Great Britain and are within the Central Baptist Association.
We take seriously the greatest commandment: Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. Along with the equally important commandment; Love your neighbour as yourself.

I have been a worshipper at Great Missenden since 2000 when I moved to England from South Africa. I took on the role of Treasurer in 2006 and play piano in our music group. I have 3 grown up children and my interests are classical music, choral singing and my allotment from which I supply most of the members with courgettes, strawberries and beans throughout the summer.
I am Barbara Hughes and I moved to Great Missenden with my husband David and our two daughters from North Yorkshire 32 years ago.
I’m Nicki and have been a member at Great Missenden Baptist Church since 2014. I have 2 grown up children and work as an accountant. I love listening to music, from opera to Aerosmith – live gigs where I can dance are the best! I am loving being involved in the leadership team at GMBC, I believe Jesus is leading us into very exciting times!
